John Bosco Muramuzi is a Ugandan artist born in 1991 who specializes in contemporary and graffiti art.
He completed his education in Industrial Art and Design in 2014, obtaining a diploma from an institute in Kampala. Since then, Muramuzi has showcased his work in solo exhibitions within Uganda and participated in group exhibitions across multiple continents.
The artist's creative journey began with the influence of his mother's traditional fabric weaving. Muramuzi's artistic process involves a diverse range of materials, including oil, acrylic, mud, soil, and various fabrics. His artwork often explores the interplay of color, texture, light, and shadow to convey narratives.
Muramuzi draws inspiration from his observations of people and their environments, particularly his personal experiences transitioning from rural life in Sheema to urban living in Kampala. His pieces frequently depict scenes of daily life in an African city, capturing elements such as congestion and traffic.
