The Art at BHSU exhibit is now open at the Gallery of the Matthews Opera House Arts Center. The opening reception will take place on Friday, October 20th, 2023 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. This exhibit features ninety-three works of art represented by fifty-one Black Hills State University students, staff, and faculty. As a space for immersive creative education, the fine arts programs at BHSU are exploding with imagination, energy, and talent. Students of all levels look forward to this annual exhibit as a way to showcase their work in a professional arts venue. The quality of work reflects the dedication, innovation, and attention to detail that represents the creative student community at Black Hills State University. Also included in the mix, this exhibit is sprinkled with the work of faculty and staff as a way to offer our community the whole picture of the arts at BHSU. Most of the works are for sale, and the reception will even feature a taco bar, courtesy of Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant in Spearfish, South Dakota.
