Statement
My work explores identity, femininity, and the collective human experience through portraiture and prose. I am drawn to the quiet, often unseen moments where resilience, vulnerability, and strength coexist. Through these intersections, I seek to honor both individual narratives and the collective stories that connect us.
Portraiture serves as the foundation of my practice. The human face and body become sites of reflection—spaces where lived experience, memory, and emotion are held and revealed. I am less interested in documenting appearances and more focused on uncovering presence: what is felt beneath the surface, what lingers beyond the frame.
My process is intuitive and reflective. I work primarily in digital photography while also exploring the tactile qualities of film, embracing its warmth and unpredictability. Writing—often begun by hand—runs parallel to my visual work, allowing language and image to inform one another. Together, they create layered narratives that unfold over time rather than offering immediate resolution.
My work is rooted in a belief that storytelling is both personal and collective. Whether through my own practice or the spaces I have created for others, I am committed to amplifying diverse voices and fostering dialogue. Ultimately, I aim to create work that invites viewers to pause, to feel, and to recognize themselves—and one another—within the frame.
