I Will Figure It Out Later by Miriam Traher Image: From The "If the Walls Could Talk" series. As this piece went off to hang in a showroom, I ran out of time to upload, label and title. Something I really try to do so I am not caught by surprise. I threw a note on, the installer loved the line, and I thought, why the heck not? Do you ever wonder what conversations you could have with old walls, what they have heard over a lifetime observing and quietly standing there? Thank goodness they can't read my mind. I can't tell you how often I wing it, going by the seat of my pants, like painting and creating. I have always believed I would figure it out. There is always an answer if we ask the right questions. Don't you think?

My heart lies in my love of expression. I love sharing ideas, stories, aha moments, tips, garlic, and anything else that passes through my life. My art lets me share this. My calligraphic mark and movement, the texture, colour and shape, what I feel, my memories and experiences, and I absolutely love sharing this with you. I see the enjoyment of someone looking at a particular piece of art, getting up close to the jewelled bits hidden in the layers. Having someone connect with a piece, the marks or colours, the feelings it brings, or just enjoying the visual pleasure. I love seeing a space come to life with THE chosen piece. The love of your room when you walk in and feel this is your space. How both get to shine a little brighter. It is so fun to share in that experience of seeing your space come alive with your unique taste and personality. It humbles me and brings me great joy.

I am so blessed. I get to paint and express myself. I get to share and brighten a moment in your day. Whether it be while brushing your teeth, sitting with a glass of wine enjoying the moment, or scrolling through my work on my website or IG. I love thinking that my work gives you a little pleasure in your day and shares the feeling that it is all possible when you follow your heart.
