SOLD: Looking Toward the Rushton's Back Yard on Canterbury Road

When I returned to Birmingham from studying in New York City in 1959, I came home and set up a studio at my mother and Father’s home in the space above the garage on Canterbury Road. From there I could see the hillside and it reminded me of Cezanne’s work. The Rushton’s lived above us and the Stockhams next door to them. I would often climb over the fence as a young girl and walk through the woods to the Stockhams where I took music lessons.
