Miriam's art studio in Birmingham also shared space with her son's model train table for several years. The train table project was always under construction (like any government transportation project) and painting was also always ongoing so paint brushes, paints, jars of turpentine and such were frequently seen with model train tracks, locomotives, and bridges.
In this view, the still life with the train table along with other paintings are in the foreground and the view through the studio window looking toward the neighbor's house is in the background.
