I am an abstract artist from Massachusetts, a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), and an executive member of the Gallery 1202 Collective. My bold and colorful paintings have been exhibited internationally in galleries, stores, restaurants, hospitals, libraries, offices, on 1stDibs and on Artsy. Although not inherently brave, I have donated a kidney and walked on fire.
Statement
My paintings are about capturing the joy and energy of life. I want my viewers to feel a sense of playfulness and happiness when they see my work.
Painting is a form of meditation, and my creative force is grief. I have found that immersing myself fully and freely into creating art has helped me throughout my journey of healing.
The process and the vivid colors boost me from a place of sadness to a brighter and more optimistic state of mind. When painting, I listen to music and choose vibrant colors that not only release my negative feelings but uplift me.
My primary process is intuitive and spontaneous, guided by the energy of the moment. When craving a more focused approach, I prefer to create geometric abstracts. Sometimes I can convey my message with words in my paintings.
