Weather data is reimagined into various flowing shapes that are then scaled, rotated and arranged to create pleasant cloud-like formations, which are then translated using a variety of both digital and analogue creation techniques to create these mini wall sculptures.
This piece is created using weather data from the devastating fires in Kelowna, BC (Canada) from August to September, 2023.
A variety of reflective and shimmery materials cause the colours in these pieces to shift depending on the angle of view, hang height and the lighting in a space. It is recommended that these pieces be viewed in person to experience the shift in colour as you walk around them.
-----
This piece is a champagne gold (difficult to capture). It's quite soft with orange and purple tones that make the gold almost appear as a rose gold. from the side there are small pops of green and yellow.
