Weather data is reimagined into various flowing shapes that are then scaled, rotated and arranged to create pleasant cloud-like formations, which are then translated using a variety of both digital and analogue creation techniques to create these mini wall sculptures.
This piece is created using weather data from the devastating fires in Kelowna, BC (Canada) from August to September, 2023.
A variety of reflective and shimmery materials cause the colours in these pieces to shift depending on the angle of view, hang height and the lighting in a space. It is recommended that these pieces be viewed in person to experience the shift in colour as you walk around them.
----
I'd classify this piece as iridescent white but there are heavy green and pink reflections. From the front it is a bubblegum pink with green tones and from the side you will see more green.
