Transcendients: 100 DAYS OF COVID 19
As Stay-at-Home Orders were imposed on much of the United States and the world due to the COVID 19 pandemic, artist Taiji Terasaki responded to the uncertainties and anxieties during this time with a meditative weaving process. He set out to create one woven paper work every day for 100 days, and post an image of it on Instagram. COVID-19 forced our world to rest and reshape—in just a matter of three months and ten days, the world felt fundamentally changed. Terasaki’s weavings became material expressions of compassion and sorrow, and an effort to spread a message of hope.
