Statement
My work represents chunks of water that have seemingly been scooped out of the ocean, pools or lakes and splashed onto the walls, in a controlled but fluid form. I explore the theme of memories and visceral interactions when being in various bodies of water.
Each piece is hand sculpted, painted and layered with pigments, creating two dimensional works of art. Each piece appears to have movement, with reflective surface colors that change with the viewer's body movement.
