Alongside the paintings, original ambient compositions by 8ball9 are being created for The Interval, forming an integral part of the exhibition rather than a separate accompaniment.
Each of the eight central paintings is paired with its own evolving sound work, developed in response to the atmosphere, rhythm, and emotional temperature of the paintings themselves. Slow tonal shifts, distant textures, fragments of melody, and layered resonance mirror the way reflections, memory, and perception move through the visual work.
The music is not intended as background decoration. It functions more like another reflective surface within the exhibition, extending the experience of stillness, fragmentation, and gradual emergence into sound.
As visitors move through the space, paintings and music will unfold together as part of a connected sequence of image, atmosphere, and attention.
Further details, excerpts, and installation studies will be shared as The Interval continues to take shape.
