Love Joan Armatrading’s song, Wlk Under Ladders. The repeated motif in the painting reminded me of ladders and hence the song.
In my current ‘facade’ paintings, lines tangle and flow against more sharply structured borders and the flat, often even, lines of the grid. Both grid and line are ways to organise space, colour, and time in a painting.
