Michael’s work focuses on the viewer’s relationship with their own inner and outer perceptions and place in the world, with mandala designs frequently representing a direct invitation for self reflection and discovery. 

Stillness is an illusion based on scale and velocity. Nothing in nature is sitting still. There is movement on a molecular and cosmic level that we cannot observe, and our conscious minds apply context to everything that is then set into motion. Our only hope is to find rest in the calcified chaos.
