Fauvist Neon Pop
Inspired by the Fauvist Artists from my studies at The Barnes Foundation 1999-2000.
Definition of Fauvist: “les Fauves” is French for Wild Beasts and identified as a Modern Art Movement in France during 1900’s whose “Explosive Brushstrokes, Fine Line Quality, and Pure Bright Colors” were considered a violent break away from the “Representational and Realistic Qualities” embedded in works represented during the rise of Impressionism. (Paraphrased: Encyclopedia Britanica)
Secret Admirer
Reminisce the days of Romance, when you had a Secret Crush, and on Valentines Day you could say I Love You in a candygram or with flowers anonymously. Do it All Over Again with "Secret Admirer".... Roses in bloom that will never wilt. This year show your Never-ending Love with a one-of-a-kind work of Art.... that you can pass on for generations to come. Express yourself this Valentine's Day and tell someone you Love them through Art. This series is a celebration of the Rose as a gift to express Love & Friendship. The Rose helps celebrate life's memories by making the moment special. It goes well with every occasion, birthday, and holiday. These paintings are unique to me as an Impressionistic Expression. Utilizing a Prismatic Palette I finger play and rough in the textures of the petals as simplified markings. The paintings are inspired by works taught to me at the Barnes Foundation...utilizing the techniques of Pierre Augustine Renoir and Vincent VanGogh..
Impressions of Spring Florals
Impressions of Spring Florals is my lifework of creating the visual menagerie of colors in the tapestry of fields in the wild. With poor eyesight, I am often confronted with the mass effect of the floral colors, before I am entertained by the detail of the individual flowers. I try to capture the "Effect of the Color-Fields" and its interaction with our emotional responses. These works are also expressively done with my hands and fingers of laid in thick paints.
Florals INK PAINTINGS on CANVAS
Enjoying the Process of Chinese Ink Drawing/Painting... I Love the bleeds and High Chromatic Hues.

CITYLifeNYC
CityLife was my experience of the Big Apple and the amount of stimuli taken in everyday throughout my Commute from Carroll Gardens and Park Slope Brooklyn to TriBecCa while Attending New York Academy of Art at 111 Franklin Street during 2000-2003. These works are cross-planes of various imagery creating the noise and energy of the Metro Transit Authority Rail Systems and the commuters who ride the subways.
