All I can say is "RED" :) Those of you who follow my work you know red is my favorite! This house Senglea had very captivating red doors and windows - so nicely contrasted against the more subtle tones of the outer walls.
This wood was found on a small island in Turkey. It was a longer board to begin with and it's difficult to tell what its original purpose was - maybe a shelf or window sill as it was made wider with extensions on both sides - one side still remains. You can see the painted side still has some remnants of a few shades of blue - and the back side has very thick peeling white paint. There's no doubt it had a useful and colorful past!
