Statement

My venture in to abstract painting seems to belie my artistic training in classical realism. Creativity demands you stay open to possibilities and I consider my art practice, like myself, to be a constant work in progress that reflects my broad interests and desire to sample diverse thoughts and perspectives. I find abstract mark-making facilitates greater expression of the interior world of the mind, free from the bonds of a reference. My current practice in abstract expressionism is both experimental and healing.
