Statement
My art is rooted in exploration and curiosity. I’m fascinated by what it means to be human, and that question guides my work. Each piece begins with wondering—asking questions, thinking deeply, and investigating—before I move into the act of making.
I often shift materials as part of my creative process. Recently, I began making natural inks and pairing them with encaustic paintings. These inks, crafted from plants, bring me closer to the land and deepen my exploration of our connection to it. I’m drawn to the alchemy of transforming overlooked materials into vibrant color.
Wax, with its rich scent and tactile beauty, holds a special place in my work. It is both delicate and strong—much like the experience of being a woman, and of inhabiting my own skin. Working with wax has allowed me to uncover deeper meanings in my art and in myself.
Curiosity, Reflection, and Action through art.
