Cloud Complexity may be the very first abstract I created, before I knew I was creating something abstract or I knew that digitally manipulated photographic abstractions would be my strong suit. Its fascination lies in the carefully chosen variants of one cloudscape image to create a feeling of being drawn from the outside in. The original photo though came long before the 2020 abstraction in the form of a photograph taken in 2009 somewhere over the Gulf of Mexico from a plane window.
