I had the pleasure of being in Ireland for an arts residency with Atelier Arts in April 2024.. My first time away after eight years of being a caregiver to my mother. I was so happy to be there. When I wasn't touring the beautiful counrtyside with the other artists or laying down in the grass, I was painting. Enjoy!

We went for a 12 mile hike around Derrynane Beach with the fabulous local musician and author, Vincent Hyland of the book Wild Derrynane. He took us around the beach, through coves and all across Abbey Island when the tide was out making our way back to Derrynane House forest and gardens. This tree took my breath away at the end of our hike I had to paint it. I must find the correct name of it. For now it is a fairy tree. It really was this color. Ah, Ireland!
