I had the pleasure of being in Ireland for an arts residency with Atelier Arts. My first time away after eight years of being a caregiver to my mother. I was so happy to be there. When I wasn't touring the beautiful counrtyside with the other artists or laying down in the grass, I was painting.

This day I went for a long walk in the rain. I reached the top of a hill and looked down through the yellow expanse of gorse carpeting the hills. A deep breath in as the sheep bayed and a wee cottage with a green roof emerged from the light fog.
Ah, Ireland.
