This scene is in a very remote location in the Ozark National Forest. In the several days that I worked on this scene, I only saw two hikers. It's on an unmarked trail two miles down a steep path. I got somewhat lost on my third day of painting as I hiked out with the wet painting in hand.
This painting incorporates elements of abstraction for me, simple geometric rock shapes contrasting with moving water.
Hunters on the main road said there would be no water running, but I am glad I went to check!
