Oni - Which means demon in Japanese. Full face mask carved mahogany wood. Part of Japanese Not Mask Mahon Series. Inspired by the Noh mask tradition which is traditionally made out of cypress. Done during the time the artist was traveling back and forth from Japan and the United States.
