Funny Face Series created as an addition to the Mercado Collection, available for purchase. Artist, Zarco Guerrero created these masks to add more variety at festivals. After realizing the large number of aggressive-faced masks he produced, he decided it was time to lighten the air with two new series of masks; the 2024 Sonrisa & Funny Face Series. By creating the new mask series, the artist payed tribute to traditional themes used in Mexican art and provided a special element of humor and cheerfulness displayed for festivals and the mercado.

Tan skin tone base with peachy-pink splotches of blush on the nose, cheeks, and forehead. Large, round, brown eyes, with the pupils carved out. Whites of eyes painted. Brown eyebrows with diagonal line pattern carved on top. Full, pink lips with brown lip crease lines on the top and bottom. Big ears sticking outwards.
