Calaca #98. Full face mask used in performances by Arizona theater and dance companies. It is painted with a light blue dot in the center of the forehead, an orange V above the dot, and a green line above the V. It has teeth outlined in pink and blue paint. It has painted purple, red, pink, and blue eyebrows, a blue nose, pink, red, orange, and green swirls along the cheeks and chin with purple dots in the center, and another blue dot at the center of the chin inside a pink and red circle.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
