Calaca #97. Full face mask used in performances by Arizona theater and dance companies. It has eyes outlined in blue and then red paint. Its face is painted with a red swirl design that goes from the forehead, around the eyes, down the sides of the nose, under the cheeks and encircling the chin. Its nose is painted purple, along with its teeth' outline.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
