Axé VI. Full-face calaca skeleton mask made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer. Orange upside down V on forehead with a blue circle outlined in orange beneath it sitting in an orange C shape. Orange arched eyebrows, and triangles beneath the eyes. Thick orange lines along temples, cheeks, and jaw, with thin blue lines on forehead, around nose, and sides of face. Chin has three orange block shapes with the center one having a blue block in its center. Teeth are outlined in pink and blue.
Used by Axé Capoeira AZ during their drum processions at Cultural Coalition festivals. These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
