My paintings focus on historic architecture in the landscape. I find inspiration in the atmospheric scenes of the rich vistas prevalent to Coastal New England.
Message
On my lunch breaks while working SoHo I would walk around and shoot photos of interest for possible paintings. The graphic quality of the shadows of the fire escape and architectural details on the building created interesting patterns. I thought the double Stop/One Way sign to be unusual. I also wanted to limit the color palette to a range of gray to black and red to brick
