Sandy Hook is always an inspiring place whether you are there for nature, sport, the ocean or art. This painting of the marshy area is based on one of those amazingly clear early Autumn days. The vegetation is starting to show that they are getting ready for winter and therefore a bit duller. But the water is so vibrant. Some days the water tends to be more turquoise but other days it is a rich blue. This day it was a rich blue with lighter shades where the tide was going out. This is an original painting 8 x10 on canvas board and is priced at $115. It is also one of my earlier works.
