A Place of Rest is part of my series, How the Wildflowers Grow. This piece began with fresh wisteria blooms gathered from my own garden, printed on tissue paper with acrylic paint. The print is layered over a collage that includes the verse: “Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin, yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” — Matthew 6:28-29.
