The decimation of the natural environment in my lifetime creates so much stress, concern and worry. Because of these feelings I have chosen to devote more than 15 years of time to painting about various aspects of man-made causes of climate destruction. Even as I write this, today, December 7, wild fires burn out of control in Southern California. Drought, over-building and excessive temperatures contribute to this situation.
The paintings I have done touched on plastic pollution, melting of ice, war, pollution from the burning of coal and the nuclear meltdowns in Fukushima. My next series will focus on the dangers of out-of-control fires.
Art is my voice...and I plan to continue using it to advocate for and increase awareness of the damage being done to our natural resources.
