I am an artist member and VP of & former President of The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space, (member since 2015.) Artist member of SAA (Springfield Art Asso) Collective Gallery, Springfield IL; Artist represented at Gallery 42 Indianapolis IN. Art Teacher at Williamsville HS, 1989-2015. From 1991-2001 Chairperson of Scholastic Art and Writing. I was a board member of the Springfield Art Association, 2016-2020; board member for the SAA, Collective Art Gallery, 2016-2021;
Statement
In my work, I try to capture the positive energy in life. I incorporate “ how it feels to be there,” to trigger powerful emotional responses. I work in both realism and abstractions to accomplish this. My life has revolved with encounters I have had with people and nature. I try to create the same uplifting beauty and experiences it presents. Hopefully the viewer can reflect and relate with their own encounters.
