History of the man who created this art John W "A Life Of Color And Abstract Impressionism" John was born in 1928 and died in 2015 leaving a lifetime of art as did many of his ancestors as far back into the 1700's. Having grown up in a family where art was shared and encouraged inspiring him to paint and study art at a very early age. His life of art was especially inspired by his great aunt Edith Grace Ward (noted California artist),who was the third person to have graduated in the Fine arts program from Stanford University in 1902. Johns formal education began at University Of The Pacific (as many of his family members attended as well) earning a degree in the arts followed by a MA from Stanford University. John applied his artistic skills in a 35- year career teaching art primarily in Menlo Park, CA. with a five year diversion to Maracaibo, Venezuela as director and instructor and tour of duty in the arm services. Always believed in encouraging young minds to appreciate and develop their own style, spending his life learning, painting, teaching and illuminating canvasses with impressible exuberance well into his late years. Art was a cultural, social, and educational way of life for John, on sabbaticals he traveled the world to study with artists and many notable artists and instructors. In United Kingdom, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Ireland to name a few, some of the schools he attended abroad were: Escula De Bella Artes, Madrid, Spain Heatherley school of Fine Art, London, England Instituto Allende, San Miguel Allende, Mexico John had previously been represented by: Fine Arts Marketing, San Francisco,CA this collection represents the greatest breadth of his works to be offered to the public and as John would enjoy saying: "I think my paintings are more Abstract than the general public" ENJOY!
