This was the 1st of the negative drawings using the Aoki skull as a model. The drawing is done as a negative where light is dark and darks are light. It isn't until the image is scanned and inverted that you can see what the positive object looks like.

When the work is exhibited I show the reverse drawing as well as a print of the inverted image so the viewer can see what the original object looked like. The photo realistic quality of this reversal drawing method is quite extraordinary.
