Scenes like this always make me think of who lived there and what may have happened to that family. I love taking a road I have never been down before as well... so that became the basis for the name of this painting. You can see the pond beyond the old home, and it might lead to another beautiful and inspiring mountain valley. These scenes are what I hope the viewer looks at and makes up a story that means something to them.
