This scene is from somewhere in North Georgia. I do not copy a scene perfectly, but only my feeling of what it looks like. Rocks always call to me, especially sparkling underneath a shallow stream. They are not a very easy thing to paint, so I keep trying. I remember walking in neighborhood streams when I was young with my friends. We picked up rocks in case they could be “gold.” They are good memories for me. I hope this painting can transport you to a fun time you had in a creek.
