This painting was done during a “Quick Paint” at the annual Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (BRMAA) Fall Plein Air Festival. We start when they blow a whistle and end when they blow it the second time. Sometimes the painting works and others not so much. Those become color notes and fodder for paintings in the studio. This one I was very pleased with. The scene is a Serrenberry Vineyards. They call that house “The Big House.” I won an Honorable Mention at the Quick Paint! It was a lot of fun creating this painting while people watched!
