"Disappearing Water" is a 9" x 12" original pastel painting from a photo I took at the Toccoa River near Blue Ridge, GA. I have done many plein air paintings from this river and feel my memories and those on location pieces help me create work in the studio also. This painting was fun to paint and was a demonstration painting done for students. I enjoy creating those demonstrations because it keeps me from overdoing the subject matter. I did use this small painting to create a larger 36"x48" oil painting called "River Playground."
This piece was also accepted into a National Show in Blue Ridge, GA for their Southern Appalachian Artist Guild which was judged by Dawn Whitelaw. This was an honor and privilege to be included in artwork from all around the Country.
