I had a day I wanted to paint something different so I walked outside to my flower garden to take photos. This is a beautiful perennial flower that grows close to the ground but can grow a little taller if you are good at fertilizing it, and plant several closer together. I have pine straw around my garden and it was quite an experience trying to make the look of a straw of some kind around the leaves and flowers. I thought it was interesting.
