The Numbat is a very cute marsupial native to Western Australia, the place of my birth. They are considered an endagered species due to habitat loss. Once widespread accross Southern Australia their range has significantly decreased since the arrival of Europeans. They now survive in only two small patches of land in the Dryandra Woodland and the Perup Nature Reserve, in Western Australia. This is my painting to pay tribute and bring attention to their havitat loss.
