Built in 1931 in the French baroque style of Louis XIV, the Los Angeles Theatre was a virtual Hollywood cathedral. Famous for its huge crystal fountain in the lobby, the theater in it's day was considered one of the four or five finest movie palaces in the world.
Sitting between 6th & 7th streets in the historic Broadway theater district in downtown Los Angeles this beautiful movie palace still has live performances and screenings on occasion along with being used as a frequent filming location.
