The Hollywood Sign located in the Hollywood Hills, this American Landmark and cultural icon was first built in 1923 for a development and was originally Hollywoodland, the sign was designed to stand for only 18 months and after the rise of the film industry the sign instantly became associated with Hollywood. so it remained slowly deteriorating for fifty years when in 1978 the sign was totally rebuilt and renovated as it it today and now is regularly maintained.
