The Rio Pecos Ranch Truck Terminal along old route 66 is abandoned and is deteriorating. When Interstate 40 was built and replaced route 66 all these small town truck stops went out of business along with many others that catered to the traveler. Now some places have managed to survive from the tourists that travel the old iconic highway but not any of the once large truck stops as all that east/west traffic now is along hwy 40.
