This is an oil painting on a 16" x 12" wood panel of the small container next to my kitchen sink in which I place food scraps before taking them out to my compost bin by my garden. This painting includes basil leaves, onion, mango skins, egg shells and an avocado. The container is perched on the edge of the sink that holds a can sitting in soapy water. The image is painted on the front of the panel while the sides, 2" deep, are left as natural wood.
