Statement
My paintings are born from a restless search for clarity within the chaos of our time—a journey to the heart of what it means to be connected and share in the collective human story. This exploration finds its voice in the expressive fluidity of oil and acrylic, but truly awakens when wedded to the silence of ash, the weight of concrete, and the ache of rusted scrap metal. These heavily textured surfaces possess a physical depth that mirrors the gravity of the raw materials, providing a home for the intensity of my expression.
By inviting nature into the work through organic matter, I capture the choreography of the grace of chance and the hand of the artist. It is a hand guided by the rhythms of physics, the vastness of cosmology, and the precision of geometry. I stand in awe of the universe’s immensity and nature’s transformative fire, seeking to map the contemplative depths of the mind and the endless hunger we all share: the instinctual desire to find order and meaning.
