Art history textbooks are mostly crap!
Thinking about what I learned in school, the bulk of it was from being surrounded by inspired academics and teachers that respected the craft and wanted to deliver its history in their most special way. Not from the books.

2% - why? - I didn't realize this issue until later in my life.

Can we change this? Can we change the way we talk about art so that everything has to be so "well" put together in the same limited way? Sometimes the deepness of the meaning lies only in a word, a memory in another painting...
