Les Initiatiques
This first series marks the threshold, the crossing from silence into expression, from rupture into rebirth. Created in the wake of a life-shattering burnout, these paintings are not a beginning, but a remembering. They emerge like fragments of an ancient memory rising from the depths — a memory long buried yet vibrantly alive.
Each canvas is an anchor, a grounding force, a threshold into a rediscovered path, carried by an invisible momentum.
Les Initiatiques are not yet messages; they are thresholds. They open the door. They lay the ground for what is to come; they are the origin of the voice that will later reveal itself in Les Messagères.

Les Messagères
Each painting in the "Les Messagères" series carries a unique message, distinguished by the spontaneous emergence of faces, animals, and visions not deliberately painted. This phenomenon unfolds through the application of successive layers, with these unexpected images revealing themselves as the final layer is sculpted with a palette knife. This process imbues each piece with a sense of discovery, inviting the viewer to participate in the revelation of hidden narratives as if the canvas itself is an active participant in its own creation.
Les Silencieuses
The paintings from the "Les Silencieuses" series offer a moment of pause, of contemplation. They don't tell a specific story. They are simply there to nourish you, to bring you a moment of peace, to momentarily pause the whirlwind of your thoughts. They come towards you. They offer you their silent wisdom and light.
Les Ceintes
The "Les Ceintes” series is a testament to Chéreau's quest for light. In these white oil palette knife paintings, light prevails over darkness, with shadows lingering but never overpowering. Through layers of dark then white paint, the interplay between light and shadow is revealed, demonstrating how the beauty of light is crafted from the depths of darkness. These works highlight the essential role of shadows in allowing light to shine, reflecting life's complexities where light emerges from darkness, creating a harmonious and profound visual experience. The title "Ceintes," meaning "surrounded" and being a homonym of "saint," encapsulates the essence of these paintings, with each piece radiating a sense of being surrounded and embraced by holy luminosity.
