Almost There is an exploration of line and shape. I love working with charcoal, particularly its gritty texture over smooth passages of paint. I also love working with graphite. Up close, you can see light pencil lines around some of the shapes. It is amazing how, even a thin line of pencil, can make a shape really stand out or define a shape where there isn't one. I called it Almost There because there is a sense of destination to it. Moving toward some exciting things that are happening.
