Red Flower, I painted in 2016 when I returned to painting to become a professional artist. When I painted Red Flower, I didn't know what I was painting. It had many phases; at one point, it resembled a fist or an anatomical heart more than a flower. This is the second of three flowers I painted, the first an abstract red flower I painted in 2009 when I first returned to painting after nearly quitting. Last is Priestess, where the bud finally blossoms, painted in 2021.
