Mareshah Yisrael, Intuitive Mixed Media Artist, is best known for her Papier Maché Wall Masks and her unique play on shapes, angles and color.
An exciting career in teaching children overseas gave Mareshah a chance to bring art and play together. As an intuitive individual, Mareshah likes to originate art from the heart, mind and spirit which enables her to use various materials when creating. These materials can be anything from found objects and old recycled bits, to the usage of collaging, printmaking, papier maché, repoussé and of course, anything in-between, or beyond...
Mareshah’s style encompasses inventiveness and imagination, allowing the mind to take a deep dive into the unknown and interact within the infinite possibilities of a universe made of authentic fantasy. Her works serenely depict and transmit positive thoughts and emotions that emphasize the immense beauty of a colorful world; A world which is made up of numerous elements and multiple nuances.
Mareshah Yisrael’s works have been shown in galleries, museums and festivals in the United States and abroad. Most recently, she participated in the International Contemporary Art Exhibition “Pretty Perv” which was shown in both Italy and Spain.
Statement
My artwork is a reflection of me; playful, colorful, bold and unique. I love creating abstract art because there are no limitations.
Viewers are able to interpret my work from their individual perspective, which creates a wonderful dialogue.
Creating gives me a sense of relief; fulfillment; enjoyment.
My work displays rhythm with a random consistency. Having this approach keeps my creative juices limitless, all the while maintaining a natural flow.
In everyday life, we must find our rhythm in order to “Dance to the Beat of the Drum.”
